How to play

A simple rule, actually.

Just match the same balls’ color by 3 or more horizontally and vertically.

What reminds me

This game reminds me of Bejeweled seiries, one of my favorite childhood games that I’ve played before. The rule of this app is partly similar to Bejeweled, as I’ve mentioned earlier in How to play section. However, this app is easier because we can even move balls to another position to match that Bejeweled isn’t allowed.

Good points to notice

Adjusting speed

There was a feature of adjusting the speed of the game. If we perceive that the progress of the game is too slow, you can click ‘speed’ button at the bottom left corner to proceed. Otherwise, you can re-click to stop increasing speed.

Celebrating achievements

I like developers’ idea of celebrating our first achievement or second one higher than the last one by shoooting confetti. This raise the gamers’ positivity even we couldn’t achieve desired score.

Various modes

There are not only normal and hard modes, but also the modes to achieve levels by certain points. Each modes have each color to identify. After all, there are meaningful and creative icons the developers have come up with.

Enabling Color blind

There was a feature of enabling color blind if we want. Moreover, I like deveopers’ idea of making the horizontal balls black until all balls are changed, because  it might somehow raise my curiosity of what color will the balls be.

These special balls will appear if we could reach higher than around 200

Locked balls

If matching three balls horizontally or vertically with apearance of locked balls, it doesn’t work. We could just match any color of balls or the balls that are not adjacent to those balls. Accordingly, the locked balls will decreases until 0.

Anchor

When the anchor appears, I also have to match 3 more balls to drop the anchor. Regarding the in-game iexperience, there was a movement of water making me feel like I’m swimming, looking interesting to me.

 

=> In general, these factors contribute to more diverse in-game experiences.

What I need improvement

Tutorials just appear only one time

Tutorials just appear while playing this app for a first time, instead of other times afterward. Therefore, tutorials are suggested to replay in case of forgetting.

Another thing I’ve noticed

Providing Extra life, but needs Wifi

There was a feature of Extra life, helping you continue to achieve higher score if you. Nonetheless, internet connection is required to enable this setting.

Game development

In terms of graphic design, the in-game content including the color of balls is simple but attractive enough. Developers have come up with building a new way of communicating the menu. To elaborate, the Configuration section is positioned below the in-game one, which is another well-designed concept. Last but not least, The music theme is an interesting choice the developers can make.
